Gina came under our care after concerns were raised regarding mammary changes while she was living on the streets under the care of a community carer.
Following veterinary examination and further diagnostic assessment, Gina was diagnosed with tubular carcinoma of the breast, a malignant mammary tumour requiring ongoing veterinary management and monitoring.
Prior to entering our programme, Gina had been cared for within the community by a dedicated local carer who had been supporting her while she lived as part of the free-roaming dog population.
Following diagnosis, Gina entered our care for veterinary assessment, treatment planning and ongoing support relating to her condition. Her case required continued monitoring due to the serious nature of mammary cancer and the potential for progression associated with the disease.
