
Volunteer Role: Communications & Information Support (Turkey Policy Work)
About Us
Dog Desk Animal Action works to protect dogs and cats through direct aid, education, and policy change. We are adapting our operations in Turkey to give our founder, Michelle, the freedom to focus on what she does best: lobbying for real and lasting policy change.
The Role
We are looking for volunteers to help us disseminate information that supports Michelle’s lobbying and advocacy work in Turkey. This is a crucial role in ensuring that accurate, timely, and impactful information reaches the right audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Sharing updates, press releases, and campaign materials across networks and platforms
- Helping to adapt messaging for different audiences (supporters, media, policymakers)
- Monitoring responses and feedback, and reporting back to the team
- Supporting the wider communications team in amplifying our message
What We’re Looking For
- Strong communication skills and an interest in animal welfare and policy change
- Ability to use social media effectively to engage and inform
- Reliable, proactive, and comfortable working independently online
- Turkish language skills are desirable but not essential

What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for replicating posts from our twitter account & placing the information on the platform you are assigned
You will be required to respond to comments where appropriate, answer questions & liaise with the directors.

Ability to follow instructions from the directors

Fundraising Officers
We are looking for experienced fundraising officers to help us maintain & grow donor engagement.
What will you be doing?
We are a small social enterprise with a passion for supporting vulnerable companion animals. We take on ambitious projects and need support to ensure that our projects are sustainable well in to the future. We are looking for a fundraising officer who is able to assist us with fundraising development strategies, event creation, event marketing & post event follow ups.
What are we looking for?
A passion for fundraising
A desire to help a small organisation grow
Good organisational skills
Good presentation & communication skills.
An understanding of the financial constraints of a social enterprise
You need to be comfortable & confident engaging with others
Good IT skills
A degree in a relevant discipline is desirable but not necessary
Fundraising experience
The ability to quickly understand the aims of our organisation
Must be able to join a monthly zoom planning meeting
Must like dogs
