Zeliha’s Story
Zeliha was once an owned dog, but when her family abandoned her on the streets of Istanbul, she was left frightened, confused, and alone. Thankfully, kind dog lovers found her and placed her into temporary safety before harm could reach her.
She later came under the care of a German citizen who tried to support her, but when funding ran out, Zeliha’s future became uncertain once again. She was at real risk of being sent to the municipal pound, a place she would not have survived.
We stepped in to protect her. Zeliha is now safely enrolled in our Sanctuary Programme, where she will never face abandonment or fear again.
Today, she is healing, cherished, and finally secure.
