Dog Desk Animal Action CIC is a registered social enterprise in the United Kingdom which seeks to improve outcomes for vulnerable companion animals and their families in the UK and overseas.
We receive donations from members of the public, income from fundraising activities and, from time to time, grants from charitable organisations.
We take our responsibilities to our supporters and regulators seriously and pledge to be open, fair, honest and transparent in our fundraising.
Our fundraising is conducted in accordance with applicable law and the Code of Fundraising Practice. We are committed to fundraising that is legal, open, honest and respectful.
Our commitment to our supporters
We will provide clear and accurate information about our fundraising and will not knowingly make misleading statements about our work, the animals we support or the purposes for which funds are being raised.
We will treat donors and supporters fairly and with respect.
We will never place undue pressure on anyone to donate.
We will respect a person’s decision not to donate and will not make unreasonable or persistent approaches to individuals.
Where someone wishes to change or cancel a regular donation, we will provide reasonable assistance to enable them to do so.
Privacy
We respect the privacy of our supporters and handle personal information in accordance with applicable data protection law.

Complaints
We have a published Complaints Procedure, which includes complaints relating to our fundraising.
Formal fundraising complaints are investigated thoroughly and fairly and responded to appropriately without unnecessary delay.

Licences and permissions
Where a fundraising activity requires a licence, registration or other permission, we will obtain the appropriate authorisation before carrying out that activity.
Dog Desk Animal Action CIC holds the appropriate local authority registration/licence for the fundraising activity to which the certificate displayed below relates.
Use of funds
We use donations for the purposes for which they are raised and maintain appropriate records of funds given for specific purposes.
Where an appeal is for a specific restricted purpose and has a fundraising target, we will explain what will happen if we raise more or less than the amount required.
Raising concerns about fundraising
Staff and volunteers who have concerns about our fundraising practices are encouraged to raise them with a director. Concerns will be taken seriously and considered appropriately. No person raising a genuine concern in good faith will be subjected to victimisation or harassment as a result.
Where a fundraising concern cannot be appropriately considered or resolved within Dog Desk Animal Action CIC, it may be raised with the Fundraising Regulator.
Fundraising concerns for staff and volunteers
Staff and volunteers who have a concern about our fundraising practices should raise it with a director of Dog Desk Animal Action CIC in writing at help@dogdeskanimalaction.com.
Concerns may include suspected misleading or inappropriate fundraising, undue pressure on donors, inappropriate use of funds, or other conduct that may not meet the Code of Fundraising Practice.
We will take concerns seriously and consider them fairly and appropriately. Anyone raising a genuine concern in good faith will be protected from victimisation or harassment for doing so.
