Pet Food Bank

Pet Food Bank

Locally we support families experiencing temporary hardship by offering a pet food bank service.

This effort is designed to ease some of the stress and financial strain that can accompany caring for cherished pets during challenging periods. By ensuring that pets receive the nourishment they need, we support families in maintaining the health and happiness of their animal companions.

Our pet food bank eases the burden on rescue organizations by helping cats and dogs remain with their families, thereby keeping them out of shelters.

We also support service users with emergency medical care & emergency boarding to protect a vulnerable dog where necessary.

Our Pet Food Bank Ambassador Shad

This is Shad, an older Staffordshire Bull Terrier who has been a user of our pet food bank service. Shad is his dad’s whole world & when dad hit hard times our pet food bank offered them a lifeline. The thought of Shad being surrendered was unthinkable, the bond between him & his human is as strong as that between any family member & as there is just the two of them, not having Shad at home would have broken his Dad. We were very happy to support them with wet & dry food, parasite treatments & poop bags. Small acts of kindness that kept this family together.

Donors

We rely on the kindness of the public to fuel our Pet Food Bank Service.

Occasionally a dog & cat food manufacturer will make a donation.
