Stella’s Story
We first met Stella during our Trek to Turkey Sponsored Spayathon, where she was part of the very first group of dogs to receive surgery. Even then, her gentle nature made her unforgettable.
Not long after, Stella suffered an accident that left her with a broken leg. We stepped in to help, running an auction to fund her treatment and ensure she received the care she urgently needed.
Stella returned to our radar once more after a second, far more serious accident left her with a catastrophic knee injury. Despite every effort to save the limb, amputation became the only option to spare her further suffering.
Determined to give Stella the safe and stable future she deserved, we welcomed her into our Sanctuary Programme after treating her for anaplasmosis.
Stella keeps us on her toes as her weight fluctuates. She has had every investigation known to veterinary science & is in tip top health. Dr Bahri monitors her while we find the exact diet that suits her needs & keeps her within an ideal body score.
Today, Stella is thriving, resilient, cherished, and finally living a life free from fear and pain.
