Yaman is a street-born dog who has become a much-loved member of our sanctuary family.
His carers describe him as very intelligent, and he is a dog who notices what is going on around him and quickly works things out.
Yaman does not get along with other male dogs, so we are looking for a home where this can be properly taken into account. We want to find the right environment for him rather than expect him to fit into a situation that doesn’t suit him.
What Yaman has never had is a traditional home of his own, and we would love to change that.
Home life will be completely new to him. He isn’t toilet trained and will need to learn the routines that come with living in a house. His adopter will need to give him time, patience and encouragement while he adjusts to a very different way of life.
For the right person, that’s part of the journey: watching a dog who was born on the streets discover what it means to have his own home, his own family and a place where he belongs.
Yaman has spent his life surrounded by people who know and care for him. Now we’re hoping someone will give this intelligent boy the chance to discover family life.
Adopting Yaman
Yaman is available for adoption to England, Wales & Scotland.
His preparation and travel process takes approximately four months. During this time he will complete all necessary veterinary and travel preparation, including Brucella canis testing.
DDAA covers Yaman’s preparation costs. His adopter will be asked to cover professional transport to the UK, currently approximately £1,300. There is no additional DDAA adoption fee.
If you think Yaman could be the dog for you, please complete our adoption application form or contact us for more information. Once your application has been reviewed, we’ll contact you to talk more about Yaman and arrange a home check by video call.
Yaman has never had a home to call his own. We’d love to find the person who can change that.
